Note: Students may begin either Voice, or Voice/Piano Combo lessons at age 6. Our Voice/Piano Combo lesson program for younger students includes learning keyboard skills and note reading. Students may begin Piano lessons starting at age 4.
Antonette holds her L.R.S.M. (Licentate of the Royal Schools of Music) in piano/organ teaching, and piano performance. Her past teaching experience includes the Zimbabwean College of Music where she taught piano in the Teachers' Training College to elementary school through college age students. Antoinette was a lecturer and accompanist to the South African National Defense Force Army Band. From her own piano studio in South Africa she prepared students for international examinations, concert performances, competitions, arts festivals and charity concerts. She has also directed choirs and helped voice students prepare for roles in a range of different musical productions, She is a member of several professional organizations including the Music Teacher's National Association and the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music.

Garrett A.

Garrett is a vocal coach, pianist, and organist currently residing in New York, where he is the Director of Music Ministry at the First Presbyterian Church of Yorktown, NY. Garrett holds a Bachelors of Music degree in Music Education and Piano Performance with a Jazz Studies minor from University of Maine. At UMaine, he studied classical piano and piano pedagogy with Dr. Philip Silver, Bajka Voronietsky, and Hung-Kuan Chen from Yale School of Music. His Jazz studies were under the great musical personalities of Dr. Karel Lidral, Dr. Jay Bregman, and Daryl Rhodes. Upon arriving in New York, he started studying voice under the phenomenal teacher and baritone, Richard Lippold. Before his calling to music ministry, Garrett was the choral director of Old Saybrook middle school and collaborative pianist for the Old Saybrook and Old Lyme school districts. He is an active member of the Music Teachers National Association (MTNA), the American Choral Directors Association (ACDA), The American Guild of Organists (AGO) and actively seeks to stay current and further his professional development by regularly attending music teacher association events, national/state conferences, and regularly performing live.
